Fall photos

I am sorry there has not been anything new and/or different here. I have been pretty much home bound since hurting my foot. It is a lot better and we had planned to go somewhere this coming weekend but I think that has fallen through now since Court has to work. *sigh*

So I thought I would stick some pics of the kids up. These were taken Monday..the 7th.
Abby throwing leaves up...yay!!! leaves!!! Anytime she sees leaves she is throwing them up in the air. That is Gavin behind her tossing them too.Here Abby is again still playing in the leaves. I had to drag her home because she really wanted to stay and play.

We now have 2 cats!

After a long and hard search for an affordable cat we found two within a few days.

Last week I kept hearing a cat meowing downstairs and I mentioned it to Court. So he tells me there is a kitten in a cage downstairs! Grrrrr. The poor thing had been there all night. So I told him to go and get it for me..but he couldn't do it at that time.

So around 10 am last Friday..the children and I went down to have a look. Saw that it was in fact a kitten. It seemed pretty wild at the time and was hissing and spitting at me. We went into the management office and I asked the lady up front about the cat. Was it a stray? She told me yes so I just was to the point and asked.. Can I have it?

There was dead silence....I think I must have shocked her for a minute because she asked me to repeat myself and so I asked again. And her response was to say...You want that cat?!? I am not sure if she was so incredulous because it was wild or because it is just your basic cat..no fancy breed. Who knows but I did assure her that I love love love cats and we really really really wanted one. So now we have a kitten.
I am pretty sure it is a male cat...but I could be wrong. He is so young it is hard to tell. I am guessing his age to be around 6 weeks or so. But cats are smaller here so he may be a little older...but not much. He is nothing but skin and bones. I can feel his back bone and it is soooo sad.

Gavin has named him Kirby. After his most favorite cartoon and game character Kirby. I think the name fits. I just hope it does not turn out to be a girl because then we have to find another name.

The other new cat.....

We also got Snowball on the same day. She was found at the Camp Walker Vet Clinic. She is pretty small but full grown. She is all white except for a grey patch right on the back of her head. She is pretty shy so this is the only picture we have so far...

There she is...Snowball. She has one blue eye and one brown eye. Last night I was holding her and she finally purred so hopefully we can become friends real soon.

I have been meaning to take a picture of this place for awhile now. We were finally stopped in traffic right in front of it so I took the opportunity to take a picture. I think it speaks for itself. Anyway...we won't be using this guy...LOL

Halloween for us

I am a little late with posting these.....sorry about that! On Halloween we went to the Camp Walker housing area. It is all officer housing and very nice. They are huge duplexes..like real houses and a real neighborhood. They also have front and back yards. Must be nice! I hobbled about with my crutches and let Court do most of the walking/supervising.
Abby was a little witch and I have to say she was just tooooo cute! Here she is holding a light up pumpkin her "Ma-ma" sent us.
And another shot of her...so cute!Here is Maddie. She was a pixie or fairy. This is not the greatest shot of her but the others did not turn out. I put glitter on her face and in her hair. You cannot tell from the photos but she was really sparkling.

Gavin was a Ninja this year. Thanks so much to Mamaw Ginni for sending the costume! We could not find any Ninja type weapons so Gavin picked out this ax.

Here the three of them are all ready to go and get candy. There were quite a lot of people out and it seems like most went too Walker. I was surprised to see a huge line to get on post...loads and loads of Koreans with kids walking on. I am not sure if post was opened for this, if they worked on post and brought their families or other people who can get on post signed them on. Anyways it was a fun time. They had MP's on every corner keeping an eye on things and I have to say I really felt safe and no worries about bad men or kids getting bad candy.
